Martin currently leads the Web3 technology platform, Sator, which applies blockchain technology to the global media industry. Martin is also an EP senior writer on the crypto comedy series Hold On For Dear Life at Beacon Pictures; directed and executive produced by Rob Weiss (HBO Ballers, HBO Entourage), Hold On For Dear Life tokenized profits into the security token, FDL, issued and powered by Securitize Markets. Prior to co-founding Sator, Martin gained 17 years experience in finance, research and media, serving in senior roles at blockchain platforms, music festivals, hedge funds, broker dealers and entertainment companies. Martin transacted high volumes of fiat currency and derivatives on Wall Street, plus she served 3 years as Trustee of the $1 billion Foundation and Endowment of the University of Colorado. Martin produced a music video for RCA Records and handled PR on 2 Oscar-winning films. Martin’s first employer was the Federal Reserve System where she researched international capital flows with the Director of International Finance, Peter Hooper, Advisor to Greenspan. Martin graduated CU Boulder, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in International Economics. Years later, Martin returned as Commencement Speaker of the graduating class of CU’s School of Economics. Martin did an MBA at UCLA Anderson and held her VFR private pilot license, as well as Series 7 & 63 securities licenses, for many years. Martin studied abroad in China and Spain. Martin’s maternal family lineage is Poirier. Poiriers held a family seat in the seigneurie of Amfreville in Normandy. Martin served on the Board of Geena Davis’s Institute on Gender in Media and the Board of Community Leaders Vital Voices. Martin has personally orchestrated entire wishes coming true for three separate Make-A-Wish Foundation kids. She also contributed six years volunteering as a Mentor within the “I Have a Dream” Foundation. Martin initiated the NFTs-for-charity initiative at Sator. Martin has received official recognition from many government officials for her leadership and philanthropy.
